Our Vision
As a Church, Go Ye Restoration, we believe that empowering a woman means empowering an entire family and community. When a woman is financially established, she is better able to care for her children, support their education, and contribute to the overall well-being of her household.
Under the leadership of our business team, we identified a critical need to equip the women in our church with practical, income-generating skills. We determined that tailoring and fashion design would be an ideal trade—offering flexibility, market demand, and the ability to work from home or establish a small business.
To make this vision a reality, we sourced funds and purchased sewing machines for the training program. We are also in the process of constructing a new church building, which will include dedicated rooms for this skills training initiative—a tailoring section where women can learn and practice their craft in a conducive environment.
Training Focus
The program will train women in:
- Basic and advanced sewing techniques
- Fashion design and garment construction
- Creating various products including skirts, dresses, children's clothing, and other wearable items
- Quality finishing and professional standards
Impact
This program achieves several important objectives:
- Economic Empowerment — Women gain a skill that can generate income for their families.
- Business Creation — Graduates can establish small tailoring businesses, either independently or cooperatively.
- Family Stability — Empowered women can better provide for their children's needs, including education and healthcare.
- Community Development — When women thrive, the entire community benefits.
Current Status and Future Plans
We have acquired the sewing machines and are awaiting the completion of the church building, which will house the training facility. Once the space is ready, we will commence training with interested women from the church and surrounding community.
Our goal is to produce qualified tailors who can either find employment or start their own businesses, depending on their capacity and aspirations.
Documentation
We have photos and videos documenting this program's development and progress. These materials capture the journey from conception to implementation and will be shared to inspire others and showcase the work God is doing through the church Go Ye Restoration.
